i found this article about some weird beauty treatments..
This is the African Snail Massage. This photo was taken just this march at a salon in Russia. The snail method is believed to help in regeneration of the skin, eliminating wrinkles, scars, and traces of burn marks.
This one is called the Gold Facial Treatment (24-Carat Gold Facial -- Be forever young). This photo was taken in Tokyo,Japan. It is said to be effective for anti-aging care.
(nakakaloka!gowld??)
This one is the famous Dr. Fish Nibble. I think this has been going on for quite sometime now, 'cause last 2008 of May, my sister had one at Ocean Park. The fish' job was to *erhm* suck and nibble *ehem* the feet to remove dead skin cells and help exfoliate it. She said 'twas very ticklish. I was there watching and the whole time she was just laughing and laughing and laughing. (geez! virginss. haha joke! ..ah basta garu naling anu daw, nakakahiya sa mga ibang nagpapa-suck and nibble nang feet. haha :p) hmm.. i didn't do it 'cause i was wearing pants that time and it kindda freaked me out, 'cause i wasn't comfortable of the idea, having my feet sucked and nibbled on with 400 fishes!
Tada! introducing, the Bull's Semen Treatment! :) the picture was taken last 2007 in London. It is an alternative for intense conditioning treatment. The pure protein combined with a katera which is said as a protein-rich plant root, penetrates each shaft and deeply nourishes the hair. Wanna know where they get the semen? :D ....it's from an organic pedigree ANGUS bull fresh from the farm. oooh!.. now i'm wondering HOW they get the semen. :) (eeeeeeeh!)
(angus? hmm.. db yun ung bagong corned beef dito sa pinas? eew! :/ kawawa naman ung mga angus bull)
they said, it is a Tradional Leech Therapy. eeeeeh! :( i don't know what it's for, ..if it's for beauty treatments or medical purposes. i will never! ....Ever! >.<
Snake Massage. It's said to be soothing when the snake touches the skin. It soothes the joints, sabi. I don't really get it. (hmf. anukonek? tumatagos? tss.)
This is the Beer Bath Treatment, which they say is natural and pure beer. The service is offered in Czech, and they continue to attract tourist by this kind of service. I don't know exactly what it's for. (sus.kung sa pilipinas yan sigurado tigdadayo yan para inumon, siguado majan yan may mga darang baso. haha!)
